Session Recap

$19.00

Send a one-page note the same day as the session, with the words already laid out. The Session Recap is for coaches. It is one US Letter page: what you decided, what happens next, and the next date. A short email goes with it. You replace the placeholders with your name and your client’s, then send it. It is a note of the conversation, not a contract and not legal advice.

What is inside

Unzip the download. The folder is Obsidian-Code-Session-Recap.

  • 00-How-to-Use.md — how to fill the page the same day, the placeholders to replace, and how to recolor the HTML.
  • brand.css — sample palette and type. Change the variables to recolor the HTML. The starter palette is charcoal, off-white, and brass.
  • 01-Session-Recap.md — the same one page, labeled, for Google Docs or Canva.
  • 01-Session-Recap.html — the print-ready page (US Letter). Keep this folder together. The HTML file looks for brand.css beside it.
  • 01-Session-Recap.pdf — a sample PDF, one US Letter page, in the starter palette. It does not change when you edit the CSS.
  • 02-Send-the-Recap.md — the short email that sends the page. The subject is Session recap — [Session Date].

On the page: client, session date, and who it is from. Then three blocks. What we decided is three lines — the outcome you named, the choice you made, and what you are not doing. What happens next is three actions, and the name beside each one is who does it. Next time is the date, the time, and the call link. If no next session is booked, leave the date blank. If there is no link yet, leave the call link blank.

Who it is for

Coaches who want the session written down the same day, not a packet of other pages. Nothing on the page is new work. It is the conversation, written down. Your client page and the email should carry your name. Replace every [Brand Name] before you send anything.

How you open the files

Open 01-Session-Recap.md. It is one page. Paste that page into Google Docs or Canva. In Canva, keep it to a single US Letter page and put your logo in the mark at the top. In Google Docs, apply Heading styles, then export a PDF or share a view link.

Prefer the studio layout? Open the HTML in a browser, print to US Letter, and turn on background graphics. Set printer margins to none. The banner at the top of the HTML does not print. Reprint the HTML to PDF after you edit. The included PDF is the starter palette only.

To recolor, open brand.css and change --ink, --paper, and --brass. You can also change the display and body fonts to fonts you have installed, and replace the logo box with your own image.

Find and replace before a client sees anything: [Brand Name], [Your Name], [Your Email], [Client Name], [Session Date], [Decision], [Next step], [Next Date], [Time], and [Call Link]. The smaller lines under each [Decision] and [Next step] are teaching labels. Replace them with the client’s words, or delete them once the real line is in. Do not leave a placeholder in anything the client sees. Do not add a price to the page.

Fill the page the same day as the session. Send the email in 02-Send-the-Recap.md, with the recap attached or linked, and keep a copy for yourself. If a line is wrong, you can send a corrected page later. This page is a note of the conversation. It is not a contract and not legal advice.
